Tonight on TBN: The Watchman in The Footsteps of King David

He’s one of the most legendary figures of the Bible–and his story is every bit as relevant today as it was 3,000 years ago.

His name is King David. And just as he faced overwhelming odds before defeating the giant Goliath in what was arguably history’s most famous battle, the nation of Israel faces major challenges today, as a tiny nation the size of New Jersey surrounded by enemies on all sides. So as you can imagine, to walk in the footsteps of King David recently in Israel was a real thrill for me and a reminder that Israel will not only survive, it will thrive.

From the scene of his battle with Goliath to an ancient fortress only recently excavated by Israeli archaeologists (check out our CUFI Minute on the fortress here), we’re following the life of David this week on “The Watchman” show, presented by Christians United for Israel. We also pay a visit to Abu Ghosh, a fascinating Arab town near Jerusalem with a rich Biblical lineage. The Ark of the Covenant once stood there before being brought back up to Jerusalem by King David—and now the Arab residents of Abu Ghosh are standing with their Jewish neighbors today.

Be sure to tune on or set your DVR tonight for 11:30 pm Eastern (10:30 pm Central, 8:30 pm Pacific) to watch tonight’s show–and in the meantime, check out this quick sneak peek.
